Aysha Mahmood is Senior Manager, Programs for Born This Way Foundation. In this capacity, Aysha’s responsibilities include editing Channel Kindness stories, supporting the program’s youth participants, and helping to maintain Channel Kindness’ social media accounts. Before joining the Foundation, Aysha served as a Press Aide for the Connecticut House Democrats, where she assisted state representatives with press relations and communication outreach. Previously, she worked as a journalist with a Manchester, Connecticut newspaper, The Journal Inquirer, and her work has appeared in HuffPost, HerCampus, Nylon, and GALO Magazine. Aysha is originally from Connecticut and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.
