#KickOffForKindess Contest Rules & FAQS

Rules

  1. Only the host of the party can submit their #KickOffForKindness Party. We encourage everyone to attend and engage in kind acts but in order to be eligible to submit you have to host the party yourself.
  2. Your entry must be received by midnight PST on Tuesday, February 7th.
  3. Make sure to count your kind acts and describe them thoroughly in the submission form including what action was performed and who benefited from that action. For example, “20 thank you notes were written for veterans” or “50 cans were collected for the local food bank.”
  4. Hosts must be US residents who are 16 years or older in order to submit a #KickOffForKindness Watch Party. Hosts who are under the age of 18 must receive permission from their parents. By entering, each host consents to the posting of his or her name and submission on the Born This Way Foundation website as provided below and in accordance with Born This Way Foundation’s privacy policy: https://bornthisway.foundation/privacy-policy/
  5. Transportation and accommodation costs will not be covered for those who are selected to receive tickets to an upcoming show.
  6. Have fun!

FAQs

  1. Does it matter how many people are at the party?
    1. Not at all! The more the merrier but your party can be a few friends and family or an all out blowout!
  2. How will winners be selected and who is the judge?
    1. Winners will be selected based on the number of kind acts performed and the creativity and potential for impact of those acts. Born This Way Foundation staff will review all submissions and select five (5) winning #KickOffForKindness hosts.
    2. If there is a tie, the decision of Born This Way Foundation’s President will control. All decisions of the judges are final and the contest is void where prohibited by law.
  3. When should #KickOffForKindness parties be submitted and when will winners be notified?
    1. You should submit your party after it has been completed on Sunday, February 5, 2017, so that you can report how many acts of kindness were completed. All submissions must be entered by midnight PST on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. If you’re selected as one of our winning hosts, we will notify you by February 15, 2017via email.
    2. Names of the winners will be posted on the Born This Way Foundation website no later than March 7, 2017.
  4. What show will the winning hosts be offered tickets to?
    1. If you’re selected as one of the winning hosts, you will be offered two complimentary tickets to an upcoming Lady Gaga show, the date, and location of which is to be announced. The retail value of each of tickets is will range between $75 and $250.  Unfortunately, travel and accommodation costs will not be covered.
  5. Do we have to choose from the ideas listed on the website?
    1. No, the Kindness Plays suggested in the Playbook are meant as ideas to get you started but you can do any kindness activities you can think of!
  6. Is any purchase necessary or is there a cost for entering?
    1. There is no cost for entering, just submit your #KickOffForKindness Watch Party at bornthisway.foundation/kickoffparty.
